Watershed

Watershed Media Centre is at the heart of Bristol, promoting creativity, innovation and talent. Watershed fosters cultural exchange and promotes engagement, enjoyment, diversity and participation in film, media arts and the creative economy.

Watershed works with ABLAZE to help develop schools as creative institutions where young people can make appropriate use of digital technology to generate enjoyment, challenge and celebration in their learning.

Through ABLAZE and in partnership with the BBC, Watershed has been developing work related learning activities for the GCSE English Curriculum. Watershed  has also been collaborating with ABLAZE to develop student led Media Councils in schools. Media Councils are trained in an improvement planning methodology and aim to improve their school using digital media.

Watershed makes young peoples work available through eshed.net, this site aims to provide a platform to share filmmaking ideas and skills and signpost young people in Bristol and the South West to film and media opportunities in the city,
